How to edit a page in WordPress with Beaver Builder?
Here’s the practical workflow to edit a WordPress page using Beaver Builder (works for both Beaver Builder Plugin and Beaver Builder Theme).
1) Open the page for editing
- In WordPress admin, go to Pages → All Pages
- Find the page you want
- Hover it and click Beaver Builder (or Edit with Beaver Builder)
Alternative (front-end):
- Visit the page while logged in, and in the top admin bar click Beaver Builder (or Page Builder).
2) Edit content (the Beaver Builder way)
Once the builder loads, you’re editing on the front-end.
Add something new
- Click the + (Add Content) button (usually top-right)
- Choose:
- Modules (text, photo, button, icon, tabs, etc.)
- Rows (layout structure)
- Templates (pre-built sections/pages)
- Drag and drop onto the page.
Edit existing text / button / image
- Click directly on the element:
- Text: click text → edit in the popup (sometimes inline)
- Button: click button → change text/link/style
- Image: click image → replace/select from Media Library
Move / resize / layout changes
- Hover near the top of a row or module until you see the outline + icons
- Drag the move handle to reposition
- For columns: click the row settings (wrench) → Columns / Layout options
3) Save / publish
Beaver Builder has two separate concepts: saving layout vs WordPress publish status.
- Click Done (top-right)
- Choose:
- Publish (push changes live)
- Save Draft (keep changes not public)
- Discard (throw changes away)
4) Common “why can’t I edit it?” issues
- You clicked “Edit” (WP editor) not “Beaver Builder” → use Edit with Beaver Builder
- Page is built with another builder (Elementor/WPBakery) → you won’t see BB modules
- Theme is overriding the page template → try Page settings (WP right sidebar) → Template: Full Width / Beaver Builder Theme template
- Cache (plugin/server/Cloudflare) → purge cache after publishing
5) Pro tip: avoid breaking layout
- Edit text inside modules, not by deleting rows unless you’re sure
- If you want to experiment: Tools (or Done) → Save Template / Duplicate page first (depending on your setup)
